With 3.207 square kilometers, Vorpommern-Rügen is the fifth-largest district in the Federal Republic of Germany. 225.000 inhabitants live here contentedly. Furthermore, the UNESCO World Heritage and Hanse Town of Stralsund is as inviting as the foreshore with its idyllic castles, villages and small towns.
